Lake View East is a great place to live if you're looking for high-end properties that are far from the beach. There's an entire side of this neighborhood filled with large buildings primarily out of condos and apartments, which means they won't be impacted as much by rising rent prices like many other parts of Chicago.
It is a diverse neighborhood in which most residents rent their homes. Most were built before 1999, making them more vintage than new-construction houses on Ashland Avenue and Halsted Street nearby; however, there's been an influx recently with midrise condo developments that blend well among these older structures.
Transportation:
Lake View is the perfect destination for easy access by car or public transportation. Lake Shore Drive can be accessed from Belmont Avenue and Irving Park Road, making it possible to reach this historic neighborhood in 10 minutes with no traffic issues whatsoever! The CTA Red Line stops at the stop right outside of Addison station where travelers will also find many taxis ready when they're tired after their trip downtown Chicago - all you need now are your walking shoes because there's plenty worth seeing around these parts, thanks mainly due to its excellent location next-door neighbors: Lincoln Park Zoo & Field Museum Of Natural History.

Every year, the Lake view east chamber hosts an arts festival to celebrate their rich culture in which they have been observing for decades now with many other institutions also putting on their shows throughout this period, including music fests or pride parades that make it one big carnival-like atmosphere you won't want miss out on!
Wrigleyville is home to some of the most picturesque bars in all of Chicago, but it's not just about drinking at these spots. The baseball-themed sports bars, including Cubby Bear and Murphy's Bleachers, offer great food as well!
Metro, a nightclub right next door to Wrigley Field and down the street from Smart Bar - one of Chicago's premier rock clubs. Metro usually has an after-party downstairs at their sister's "Smart Bar" location. There are also plenty of other comedy venues in this area, including iO Theater, ComedySportz Theatre, and Chemically Imbalanced Comedy.

Lake View is a great place to be if you want your children educated by top-notch teachers and classmates. The James G Blaine School, Hamilton, Burley, and Nettelhorst are all famous in this part of Chicago.
